'Sprong' (leap) '00/'07, hammered and forged corten-steel, 165x95x90 cm
Based on a photo of a dancer, jumping.
The statue 'Sprong' is made in two halves; back side and front side.
The back side is made diagonally from the right leg, via the back to the left arm.
The material (corten-steel 2mm) unfold from the foot in order to close again at the hand.
The other half mirrors.
Both parts are joint at the head. The sides remain open.
It is meant to be hung. I used 2mm sheet to reduce the weight.
